I am Linnell Jones McKenney, a former professional basketball player. I was the first female to play on the boy’s middle school team, and the first female to be drafted into the professional women’s league from Flint, Michigan. I am called the pioneer of women’s basketball in Flint, Michigan. I am also one of the first of 15 women to be chosen to play in the European Women’s Professional League, where I was MVP in the European League for 3 years and chosen on the All Star team 5 years. Now that I am back in the USA, I am a motivational speaker, life coach, personal trainer, camp organizer, and business woman.

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm," said the very quotable Ralph Waldo Emerson. The source of the word is the Greek enthousiasmos, which ultimately comes from the adjective entheos, "having the god within."

My purpose for life is to energize others to learn how to find their gifts, develop their gifts, and put their gifts into action to make their life more meaningful and purposeful, and to help you begin to live your life with enthusiasm. If you want to achieve anything great in life, you will have to have enthusiasm, and the love for what you do and want to accomplish. I am a 2-time Hall of Fame inductee, and it is all because of the God in me which gives me the enthusiasm to live life to the fullness, and believe that whatever I can conceive in my mind I can achieve.

So can you. What are your childhood dreams? Those dreams are still inside of you. Now it is time to burst out of your shell and begin to dream again. Dream Big!
